Symantec Ghost V8.0

I have booted a brand new laptop using Symantec Ghost V8.0 boot disks to image the hard drive.  During the process the image file failed and hence it had not fully imaged the drive.

If I try to reimage the laptop I get the message:-

"The destination disk contains the image file.  To continue you may either preserve the image file or delete the image file at the successful completion of the clone.  How do you wish to proceed?"

Preserve          Delete             Cancel

If I press preserve or delete I get the error message:-

"A destination preserve partition must be specified using the -PRESERVEDEST switch if you are preserving files and more than one partition is being cloned." (Usage Error 676)

I have tried booting the laptop using boot disks in order to format the drive, but it is not recognized due to the half complete image.

Does anyone have any idea how I can rectify this problem?

Hi, did you make the first image on a second partition?
