ArcGIS 9: How do I get a Polygon from Polylines?

I am using ESRI ArcGIS 9 desktop suite to do some GIS work for my boss.  We have 2 layers that we are working with primarily for this excercise, there is a parcels layer that contains all the parcels in the county (polygons) and there is a Service area boundary layer (Polylines).  What I need, is the lines layer as a polygon to perform a select by location, to extract just the parcels within the line boundary.  I am somewhat of a Novice to ArcMap and ArcGIS 9 in general, but I am comfortable with it enough to know what I need... just... how do I do it?
Thanks in advance.

Try the Feature To Polygon tool in Desktop 9.0 ArcToolbox.
(ArcToolbox > Data Management Tools > Features > Feature to Polygon.)

ok... thanks for the suggestion molvo, but I don't have that option in my ArcToolBox through ArcMap or through ArcCatalog.

What I DO have is:
ArcToolbox > Data Management Tools > Features
> Add XY coordinates
or >Check Geometry
or >Copy Features
or >Multipart To Singlepart
or >Repair Geometry

All that, but no Feature to Polygon option
any other suggestions?
