Where to start?

I'm planning on making a program that should open up an IE window with a predefined website, then it should send keystrokes to that window.

Need some opinion on where to start...

PS. Im not an C++ expert so basic functions or eplanations would be good and ultimately the program should have some kind of GUI.

Look at the Visual C++ example at it doesn't send keystrokes, but it automates an HTTP POST, if that's what you need.

I can build a GUI, but what I need is to find the window that I want and send keystrokes to it
