    Accepted Solution

It's tough nut to crack for sure.

I use Oracle portal in my company and feel pretty good about it in terms of funcationality.

Never used Sharepoint Portal, but since it's a TP proprietary offer, the chances are better if you check the Manual or docs coming with the product or just call them.

your second question is a matter of personal preference, I say this because mostly it's too subjective to tell.

but the advantage off using oracle portal application over the sharepoint:

    1. better compatibility and better service integration (since they are all Oracle products)

    2. Oracle portal works with Oracle OID and oracle SSO most of the time, so Oracle database products can offer you all you need in one stop shop.

configuration is usually a lot easier when you are using a single-vendor product, from the experience.
