Microsoft Money Express 2004 installation error

My HP laptop came with Microsoft Money (express) 2004 preloaded on the machine, it jus needed to be installed/setup. I use QB so I never intended to touch it. the other day I made the mistake of clicking on the isntall link within programs and now it trys to install it and hangs during install and then says "Setup needs to close Microsoft Money Express 2004 and can't do so. Please close it and click retry." If I click on cancel it continues to try to install it, if I click on retry it does the same and I end up haveing to Ctrl-Alt-Del to get the installation to stop. Any ideas how to stop this, I can do without MS Money, but this is bugging me.

Check the registry in the following locations:

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnceEx

and

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnceEx

See if you find the .EXE file that's being launched on startup to complete the MS Money installation.  Delete it from the registry.  You should no longer have this problem.
