Administrator cannot have logon locally permission


Dear all,

I got a strange problem, I have a PC, installed windows 2000 Pro. SP4.

 When i try to login as local administrator it is saying " you dont have permissions to logon locally".
 
 Even i boot from "safe mode " safemode with networking " but i couldnt find any result.

 any idea on this problem....

Also, could you provide the exact error message you get when trying to log on?

Can you log on using any other account?

Is this a standalone PC or planning to connect to domain in future?

i want to connect that PC to domain, for that i need to log in as a administrator. So when  i try to logon as administrator it is giving the error.
 i dont have other account to log in .

Can anybody please tell me what is the use of Windows 2000 resource kit , and its uses.
Where can i find this resource kit ??
