Problem sharing usb laserjet 1200 to NT workstations (via network)

Hi All

I've installed a USB HP Laserjet 1200 on an XP machine.  I shared it out and have connected a 2000 machine to it no problem, prints fine.  I now want to connect some NT workstations to it but when I go to add it it looks for drivers, this is fine I point it to the NT drivers but it just returns a "Printer driver setup error: The printer driver is unknown" error message.  I've tried the drivers form the CD and downloaded the latest drivers from the HP site but still get the same message.

I know NT does not support USB but could this be the problem? even though I'm sharing the printer over the network.

Cheers for any help anyone can provide

I would install the driver as a local printer on the nt4 machine, pointing to LPT1, and then change the port to \\xpmachinename\printername.
This might solve the problem.
