I've tried the eraser tool. theoritically it is only uses to remove the remnents of Office 2000 once a uninstall has been performed... I cant uninstall due to the CD being screwed up. Is there not anyway to remove Office 2000 without the CD ?

I think that we can only use the manual way od deleting the files and registries as described in the first link if we cannot provide the office CD =\

Hi JUSTNKASE,

This might have some additional info
http://forums.techguy.org/showthread.php?s=7c9260eb42ea4f124e4635d2ef426fd4&threadid=192959

It should be possible to remove office without CD.

Make sure to follow the second link what shehary gave .. that should most likely do the job.

After running all the above , try to run a registry cleaner and that should be it.

In one of the questions I was involved in this similar situatin, this windows cleanup utility helped

my suggestion...

Go and find someone with an office 2000 cd and use that to remove it, its one of the oldest offices around, there should be plenty around to chose from, check your IT dep at work they might have one, as around you'l find someone.
