Original email deleted after replying in Lotus Notes 6.5 Client

I have a user that is running Notes 6.5.  Whenever she replies to any email in her Inbox, with or without history, the reply is sent fine, but when she goes back to the inbox, the orginal email is gone and has been automaticly sent to the Trash and the reply has been sent to the send folder.

She would like the original email to remain in the Inbox after the reply.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Very strange indeed !. Try doing a refresh/replace design of her mailfile

thanks for the suggestion, I had her try Cntl/Shift/F9 and no luck.  The client as well as the design template was just upgraded like 2 weeks ago from 5.0 to 6.5, everything was fine, problem just started happening.
Have you observed this behavior yourself?  Because I have never heard of similar behavior, except for user error.

Please observe her exact actions from teh time the received message is visible in the inbox to the time it is found in the trash folder.
Cloud Class® Course: Amazon Web Services - Basic

Are you thinking about creating an Amazon Web Services account for your business? Not sure where to start? In this course you’ll get an overview of the history of AWS and take a tour of their user interface.

My only suggestion would be a rule that been created in her mail with some faulty logic. Check if there are any rules defined and confirm that they are all setup correctly.

Or I suppose there could be an agent running in her mail.

I cant expplain why anyone would have done either of the above but they are my only current suggestion for why it could be happening
There was another question posted today of a very similar nature, so it would not surprise me if there is some new setting buried in 6.5 that I had not yet noticed.

I would check the mailbox preferences.

Thought I would post the solution to this problem.  Turns out the user had enabled "Show Unread Only."  This setting, when turned on, will only display unread emails in the inbox, once they read an email, it is essentially hidden, not deleted or moved.

To turn it on and off...

Actions pulldown > View All (if Notes is set to show unread only) or View Unread (if Notes is set to show all)

Thanks for everyones ideas.
