data manipulation

I am working in visual basic 6 & Informix 7.2. I want to create a toolbar with add,delete,update,edit buttons.This toolbar is attached to different forms. I want to do above data manipulation through above buttons in these forms i.e on clicking add button I should be able to add record in current form and so on.
I am not getting how to write generalised code to do above task.I am using treeview to open form.
I have to use bound or unbound form?
explain me how with example.

I reckon its gonna be tough only with VB code. If you want to use API, it can be done. But using API isn't all that easy either. Sorry about the disappointing response, but it will not be trivial for you to code a common toolbar for many forms.

Difficult part would be to build a common toolbar. Once you have the toolbar on the form, it would be very easy. You can simply use the ActiveForm and ActiveControl propeties. A typical code handler may look like:

Sub Command1_Click()
       If TypeOf ActiveForm.ActiveControl = YourControlType Then
              ' Execute your actual code here
              ActiveForm.ActiveControl.Property = Value
       End If
End Sub

Why 250 + 50 points are not added to my current points as I have closed two question worth 250 and 50 points respectively. Also
I am not getting any answer to my current question regarding class (100 points). Could you tell me reason?
Pl. give me some reply.
