mrchaos101,

Is there a NDIS file on the cd?
NDIS (Network Driver Interface Specification) is a network driver standard developed by Microsoft and 3Com. It is the most popular standard in use today.

Is XP not automatically detecting the card? You can try going to device manager (right click on my computer, select properties, select the hardware tab and then select "Device Manager"). Look for your NIC to be listed here, it will most likely be listed under "Network Adapters" or "Other Devices". You can right click on what is listed under either of these headings and select "update driver", this will bring up the hardware update wizard, select "no, not at this time" when it asks you to connect to windows update for the driver. Next, you can look for drivers automatically (Windows automatic install) or install from a list or specific location. (this is where you would browse to your CD and select the driver file) What brand/model of motherboard do you have?
