how do you boot up using the install cd for the mac g5

    Turn on the computer, press and hold Option key.  It will enter into a special 'boot' menu.
    Insert your CD, wait a while for it to show up on screen, click on the CD, and click on the right arrow button on the lower right.  It will boot from your CD.

    If the CD doesn't show up, try clicking the circled arrow on the lower left.  It will try to rescan all the bootable disk/disc.

    OR, turn on the computer, insert the CD, and press and hold C key (until it boot from CD).  But you have to do it quickly, or the computer will boot from the HD instead.
