"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Turn on the computer, press and hold Option key.  It will enter into a special 'boot' menu.
Insert your CD, wait a while for it to show up on screen, click on the CD, and click on the right arrow button on the lower right.  It will boot from your CD.

If the CD doesn't show up, try clicking the circled arrow on the lower left.  It will try to rescan all the bootable disk/disc.

OR, turn on the computer, insert the CD, and press and hold C key (until it boot from CD).  But you have to do it quickly, or the computer will boot from the HD instead.

good luck.
