can I use the Melody sound system native on the motherboard aa8 Abit AND also Audigy 2?

I just installed a new systme. The sound from the Melody 7.1 high-definition audio is not as good as the one I got from my Audigy 2. Can I just place the Adigy 2 and also have the Melody or do I have to uninstall the Melody driver?

You do not have to disable any drivers, what happens is as soon as you plug in the expansion Audigy card, the onboard sound gets disable, so the Operating  system will no longer be able to SEE the onboard sound card. So after you restart with the new soundcard, the OS will popup a new hardware found wizard from where you can start installing the drivers or you can do that directly from the Audigy CD. You can also go into the device manager and delete the old driver.
