NT4 driver for LaserJet1100 ?

I added a print queue on a 2003 server for a LaserJet 1100.
I want to add an additional driver for NT4 workstations.
So in printer properties - sharing, i select 'additional drivers' and select NT4.
It asks me to browse to the driver.
On the HP website i find the following 2 drivers (which i have to unzip after downloading) :
- hp LaserJet 1100/1100A PCL 5e point and print bundle  24 May 2002 2.0  4.0 MB   (lj517en)
- hp LaserJet 1100/1100A PCL 5e driver  23 May 2002 4.3.2.201  1.5 MB   (lj206en)
For both drivers it tells me that windows cannot find a suitable driver.
So i'm stuck.
How can i share the LJ1100 for NT4 workstations ?

if i remeber correctly, you have to expand them and run a setup.exe to install the drivers.
after running the setup (and rebooting), the drivers are available.

I tried this on one of my servers and it's the same.
same error.
btw, i can install this driver for hp laserjet on w2k3. (not for nt, for w2k3) that's not correct too.
you have to ask hp support about this.

someone adviced to do the following on the 2003 server:
install the hp driver for 2003 and then install the hp driver for nt4.
this seems to work, however nt4 workstations still ask for an appropriate driver, they cannot use that nt4-driver from 2003-server.  so the tip doesn't work.

hp support has no solution.
they advice to keep client-os & server-os in sync and do nt4 separately:
they told me to do nt4 print spooling on nt4 servers and 2000/xp print spooling on 2000/2003-server,
and never mix them.

And they are very wise to advice this.
We use a own Printer Server for W2K HP Printers, one for W2K Canon/Epson Printers, one for NT Printers.
Printer Drivers tend to destroy other vendors Drivers and sometimes the OS.
anyway, live will be much easier for you, if you share printers for NT clients on a NT Server.
