Video capturing through a normal computer Camera

Hi there
Here is another easy one!  I would like to capture videos (mpegs movies or AVI movies or whatever) on my computer for our main entrance doors.  The scenario is like this, our main entrance doors are about 100 feet away from the IT room.  I would like to place the video holder computer in the IT room.  Please suggest:

1- Whats the best and cheap way of getting good results with minimum use of space on my HD.

2-Are there any wireless computer cameras available? (I am sure Video wireless are available, but I do not want to use them).

3-Is ther any capturing (video capturing) program available which can automatically keeps archives and deletes the video files after a certain   period of time?

I have a similar setup in use currently.  The way I went about it was to pick-up a rather in-expensive ATI video capture card,  something like this:

And from there a wireless camera is pretty simple to get ahold of, however make sure you invest in a secure wireless video camera otherwise someone with the proper equipment can View your video feed.

The ATI cards come with software for recording that offer a varying amount of compressions that should be good for keeping space use to a minimum.

Hope that helps a little! :)
