OU export util

Has anyone heard of a utility that enables you to export and import the OU structure of a Windows 2003 domain.
We have too many to create manually and wish to replicate our “live” environment in a lab.
Can’t use backups as the domain name and server names differ to reflect their lab status.
The Lab is obviously off the business network.

Many thanks

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hello Hotsox,

That's going to be hard to do because the Distinguished Name of the OU and the objects inside it have the name of the domain that they come from.  I will keep searching though.

Thanks,

Not to worry. I found it anyway.

For anyone's interest, LDIF does it with ease

Sorry hotsox,

I'm the big dummy here!  I guess I missread the question or was not thinking fully, but yes, LDIFDE does. I've actually done it before, just using the same domain, not from on domain to another.

Thanks,

And there's also CSVDE that is also man enough for the task!

Exactly, but of course if you need to import users with passwords, or modify or delete accounts, LDIFDE is the way to go.  Its more powerful, but MSFT suggests that you use CSVDE first because its easier, and if you cant accomplish the task, then use LDIFDE.
