DB2 AIX Memory Allocation Issue

When attempting to create a database in AIX, I'm seeing the following error: SQL0083C A memory allocation error has occurred.  This is a base install, with default dbm config values.  There is nothing else running on the box, so I'm fairly confident I shouldn't be running out of resources.  Any tips?

I suggest you upgrade to at least Fixpack 5. This should fix the problem.

What version of AIX and DB2 are you running, and which fixpacks (for both AIX and DB2) have you applied?

AIX v5.1.  DB2 code release SQL08010 level identifier 01010106 informational tokens DB2 v8.1.1.0, s021023, fixpack 0.  This is my first time trying to run DB2 on AIX...I've gotten things running on Windows, Linux and the AS/400...this is new to me.  Is there a known issue with the base version of 8.1 on AIX?

I will bear that in mind for AIX v5.1, meanwhile, I'm now using AIX v5.2, and DB2 8.1 works like it should.
