All the chm files are on the hard drive. the vshelp.dll is registered

but still no help!

Microsoft Says:
New versions of the MSDN Library do not integrate with Visual Studio 6.0 products

If you have the original MSDN installation which came with Visual Studio, then you can start the library with a shortcut to hh.exe and pass the path to msdnvs6a.col

e.g.:

C:\WINDOWS\hh.exe C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\MSDN98\98VSa\1033\msdnvs6a.col

Did you recently install a newer MSDN or VS.NET?

I just started here and the IT guys are not very forthcoming with information.
We are running vb6.0 only.  v8176

I not sure about the MSDN stuff.  The chm files are loaded they got installed.

This makes absolutly no sense!  The it guy says "we don't have the msdn library."

So lets see a major automotive supplier purchases vb 6 but it comes without intergrated help.

Am i missing something here!

ok bill we will sell you a car but the doors are optional!

I believe the MSDN library is included in Visual Studio (it came with my Enterprise edition) and it can be either installed on the harddrive or installed to run from the CD.  Look through your Visual Studio disks and find the ones marked MSDN.  I think only the version of MSDN which was distributed with VS will integrate.

This is @#$@##$.  I used my version of MSDN it works fine.

Does anyone know how/if we can get MSDN CD's?

Yes,

You can get MSDN CD's, you have to subscribe to that off Microsoft's site.
You can probably find it from here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/downloads/

P.S. please award the points, & close the question, thanks!
