US map Flash file
hey guys - big points for anyone who can recommend a good, cheap (or free) pre-fab US Flash map. I need the states to change when they are moused over, and I need the ability to drop a list from a database for certain states. - Actually there will be a primarly list and a sub-list generated on mouseover of the primary list. Does anyone have something like this already built, or know where I can get it? I know it's been done many times before!!
I've done one of these in the past...let me try to dig it up for you...

yea - I tried google - the ones I found I couldn't tell if I could do the database stuff with then and they cost like $200. I found one that was only $20, but I thought I would collect some advice from EE first.

negtyve - thanks. I tried to open the second one and it said invalide file type. Is that because I am using Flash 5?
I had actually found some maps on there before (flashkit). I think my real problem is that I don't know where to start. First of all - if I use that second movie I need to change the colors and stroke sizes. Can I do that by writing one script that works on everything under 'states' in the library? Also I am not sure where to jump off on gettting the information from a database to drop down on the rollover of each state?
I wish I didn't sound like a novice - I actually took the Macromedia Advanced ActionScripting course - but it was a while back and I never got to use what I learned. So now it's kind of gone. HELP!

yes, it's made with flash mx. cannot you use it?

I think tha because u r novice in flash u should try to do thi as an excrise,
it's quite simple.
Just find a JPG/GIF map of US with all the states to be saparated and impotr it inside your movie, then use "Trace Bitmap" to make the image file vector graphix, now u should have each state seperated,
click on a state and press F8 to convert it into a button, do the same and with the other state and at the end u will have create your own map!
