Multiple Platforms boot menu

Hi all,

I am using a Windows 2003 server. I was trying yo install XP Pro as the second OS in the PC. But, there was some problem on the installation CD.When somewhere during the installlation process, certain file cannot be read from the CD.

The problem is, when I boot up the PC, I got the Boot menu that showing both Win Server 2003 and Win XP Pro. The menu still exist even I have formatted the drive that I used to install the XP Pro.

Thus, anyone know where can I remove the XP Pro from the boot menu I mentioned? If I am not getting wrong, the boot menu is read from certain file in the system. If that is the casem where can I find the file? And how to modify the file in order for the system to boot up the Win 2003 Server?

Thanks.

Delete the XP Lines from the Boot.ini file.  It should be located in c:\ but it might be read only so you'll likely have to adjust the attributes on the file.
