2003 Server blue screens after adding 2nd SATA RAID

New install of SBS 2003 onto intel S875WPI using the promise RAID. Every thing was running well for over a week.

Tonight installed two 200GB SATA drives as a RAID 1 on the adeptec array and now it blue screens on start up, the screen is brief before it reboots so i have not been able to read any thing on it.  Even if I remove the second set of drives it still blue screens.  I did a repair and reintalled both sets of drivers from the FD after pressing F6 but this has also not helped, although it did go through all the repair process

Can you boot in safe mode?
Or AD restore mode?
Do you have a backup?
You should restore your system, install the adaptec drivers and then add the hardware.
but it depends on the message of the blue screen.
Maybe it's a Inaccesible_Boot_Device because something like your boot order/pci order has changed.
Did you remove only the drives, or the controller too?

I can not boot in safe mode
Have not tried AD restore mode
It is a new install, I have not data on it it yet just configured with domain and users

I can not see the message on the blue screen as it is to fast, I also suspect a change in order of the drives as the BIOS of the 2nd set of adaptec drives is initialised first

I have taken out the drives and disbaled the controller but it still does it

They were both built into the mother board.  After removing the extra disks i also disabled the second controller but to no avail.

I have given up now and and doing a new install on the promise RAID and I have changed the other two drives to IDE and will use a PCI promise RAID card
good luck :)
I have a SB Server 2003 running EWxchange Server 2003. Sometimes it gives me the blue screen of death after periods of inactivity. The only option I have is to move the mouse. I can't 3 finger solute or get task manager or anything onscreen. I reboot and it works fine. I checked event viewer and it gave me the following:

VssAdmin: Unable to create a shadow copy: Insufficient storage available to create either the shadow copy storage file or other shadow copy data.
Command-line: 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\vssadmin.exe Create Shadow /AutoRetry=5 /For=\\?\Volume{ac316e91-e8b8-11d9-a646-806e6f6e6963}\'.

can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks alot
Also I found this info as well relating to my bluescreen

The data buffer created for the "MSExchangeIS" service in the "C:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\bin\mdbperf.dll" library is not aligned on an 8-byte boundary. This may cause problems for applications that are trying to read the performance data buffer. Contact the manufacturer of this library or service to have this problem corrected or to get a newer version of this library.
