Can Not Find 2 Files Infected with Trojanhorse Proxy

Hi Everyone:

I almost have everything ironed out on my pc which has been infected except for random lockups.  After running AVG, I noticed my pc is still infected with the Trojanhorse Proxy.  The two infected files have the following paths: c:\recycler\s-1-5-21-1645522239-1682526488-1343024091-500\Dc3.exe and c:\system volume information\restore {RP1\A0008314.exe.  To my surprise, I can not located these files nor the folders which are suppose to contain these files.

Once found and deleted, I am confident this will be a nice wrap up to the tweaking I am doing on my pc, especially with the random lockups.

I look forward to hearing from everyone regarding this post.

Hi There:

Thanks so much for the quick response.  With respect to disable system restore, how may I do that?

       George
System Control panel - System Restore Tab - check box to turn off, click ok button.  Close window.  Go back to System control panel and uncheck the box.  Click OK - System Restore should be reenabled.

Hi There:

After going into System Restore, I noticed the slider the maximum amount of disk space was selected with the slider over to the entire right.  Is that setting right?

       George
yes, that's default - you can reduce it.
