cant get on(release) and on(rollover) on same button

hi
i dont seem to be able to put a on(release) on(rollover) action on the same button
only the on(rollover) works

this is my code-----------------------------
on (rollOver)
{

      gotoAndStop("Scene 2",8);
}
on (release)
{      
      user.data.scene = "Scene 2";

      backbutton.push([user.data.scene]);

any ideas arrCount is set in the on(rollOver)
