Setting UP VS.NET with SQL2000 and IIS

I am new to this game and whilst I have had a working system to develop and debug a web site program with VS.NET Pro 2003, the set up is not quite right and I keep tweaking things without really knowing what I am doing and breaking it!!

I have VS.NET 2003 Pro
SQLserver 2000 Developer Edition
Windows XP Pro - service pack 2

The machine is on a network but I initially want to develop everything on a local machine.
I do not really care about security at this point - I'm the only one here!

Please would someone break down exactly what I need to set this thing up

ie
SQL user permissions
SQL process accounts
Connection String
IIS accounts and permissions
How to set up debugging
registration settings

As much explanation as possible please - I'm not a pro!!

Regards

Paul
