asked on

login problem on a website after update xp

I'm a webmaster of a website www.bakkersbond.com
To get acces to the website you have to login with your own pasword.

Couple users contacted me that they can't login anymore . There is a page that users can retrieve there pasword when lost en even when they put that pasword in they still can't get in.
The strange thing is that when i login with the username and pasword of that person , i get acces. So i contacted them that there is no problem with the website. Because i can login with the username and pasword of that person.

I think that there has something to do with security of the computer of that person.
1 user sayed that the problems where there after a update for windows xp.

Ok that's that.
Now some info on how the website works.
All pages are in ASP written. When a user try's to login in checks his username and pasword in a database and  then it creates a session("name"). So it is not a cookie problem i think.
I think it's just a security problem for that users computer after the windows xp update.

So if anyone knows how to fix this. Maby somewhere in the configuration of that users pc or....

thnkx anyway

A user told me he can not choose "default level" at some icons.
I stands there but not ready to click.

What to do???

If the default level is unclickable, that means its already on default.

So have him click on the "Trusted Sites" icon. Then right below it, you can click on a "sites" button. Here you can add the site you want to the trusted sites.

If you want instuctions with pictures go here:

it was not 100% default levels.

We tryed the settings that i have . And that aren't the default ones

When the users tryed that settings it works .

Knoxj81 gets the points because it had something to do with all of that
