BACKUP ERROR (Reason: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.)

Any idea why getting these errors.

yes, that is one of the drawbacks of using the built-in Ntbackup utility. If you are concerned, I would look at upgrading to a more robust platform backup, such as Veritas. Just a thought..

Because some of those are for network services. Exchange for example - it doesn't stop running when no one is connected - it always runs and as a result, it can't be backed up through a normal backup. There should be an option to backup the Exchange Info store. Use that to backup exchagne.

You're also trying to backup your WINS and DHCP databases. You can't do that unless these services is stopped.

Same with your event logs, you SQL logs... just about everything in your posted log file is service related files that cannot be backed up unless you shutdown the service.

Do a system state backup and backup the exchange information store. Or get a more advanced backup program that can backup open files.
