What is Bidclix?
This only happen to me recently. Nearly every site I got to, a pop up advertisment will appear. Even in sites that are not suppose to have add or have never have add before including hotmail. All these add are by a compeny call BidClix. One site say this is 'tracking cookies' adware, but I have use Ad-Aware, Spybot and Spyware Doctor to scan my PC, but put not spyware is found. There's one site that say Pestpetrol can remove the spyware, but I don't have that software and it's pretty expensive to by.
I know some sites put the BidClix code on the webpages, because a publisher can earn revenue every time a visitor click in the links in that add, but I don't believe site like Hotmail did that. I show my colleague the add, and she said she seldom saw it on the website she visited.
So, is my PC infected with spyware or is it just too many websites has become a publisher for Bidclix? Can anyone tell me more about this Advertising product?

Its not like hotmail n yahoo or most of the sites are using BidClix..it seems your machine got tht..Try doing a full harddisk scanning by adaware...it works...well if you want a solution to block those annoying pop-ups you can try google toolbar...

Use Firefox instead of IE. It has a popup blocking utility built-in

To srikrishnak,
I just use the Ad-Aware SE Personal version to scan in and has deleted all the critical spyware found, but the problem is still there. The option I use is 'Perform Full System Scan'. Any other configuration I can use. Or can u recommend a more power spyware removel program?
To jvuz,
Yes, pop-up blocker can eliminated the annoyance factor, but I don't want any spyware sitting in my PC. So, I would prefer to complete remove it instead of pretending they aren't there.
For the HijackThis.exe. After I post the log to the www.hijackthis.de, r experts there going to help me solve the problem? I have already determine that it's a spyware, because I open the same webpages that have pop-up in another PC, and there's no pop-up.

Post the log to www.hijackthis.de and then at the bottom you have a button "save analasys". After that another page will open with your saved log. Put that url here. We will see from there.

I had a really PAINFULL PC from a customer this week that apparently had a new version of the Look2Me spyware. This is how I solved the problem:
I ran AdAware and found 4 files. By clicking on one of them I found out it was included in a compressed file. All the other 3 were also there. I noted the name and location (path) - it was a Win98 PC so everything was under C:\Windows\System.
Looking under EXPLORER I located the file and marked it, then sorted by date. I found out that in the same time interval more than 15 different DLLs and other files had been installed on the same date and within 2 minutes of each other. I even used Notepad (Editor) to look at a couple of the non-DLL files to see if there were any CLEAR TEXT references to the other suspect files - and there were! I then booted into SAFE mode and renamed the EXEs, then deleted the DLLs. I made sure in advance that the paper basket was EMPTY in case I needed to restore (which I didn't).
Once I rebooted (which was a bit faster than before) the problem had been solved and I could safely delete the RENAMED files. I ran AdAware again and it said my system was clean!
NOTE: You may need to do this with SYSTEM RESTORE deactivated if you're running an OS that supports this (ME, 2000, XP), but this should solve the problem.
Hope this helps.
