Thanks Erick37! I had to run regedt32 from the command window, etc. as explained in the article, but once I set the permissions to Full Control, VB works great again!! Cheers.

If I open VB 6, go to the 'Project' menu and select 'References', I get &quot;error accessing the system registry&quot; and cannot go any further.<br />
I have checked the registry security and I am logged onto the machine as a local administrator.<br />
<br />
I also have Crystal Reports 8.0 installed on the machine and I believe this may have caused the problem.<br />
<br />
Has anyone seen this before and can anyone help me sort it out?<br />
