MSExchangeFBPublish event ID 8207
New exchange server 2003 patched to sp1
I'm getting the following every hour
Event Type: Error
Event Source: MSExchangeFBPublish
Event Category: General
Event ID: 8207
Date: 1/3/2005
Time: 7:11:45 AM
User: N/A
Computer: VINS1
Description:
Error updating public folder with free-busy information on virtual machine VINS1. The error number is 0x8004010f.
For more information, click http://www.microsoft.com/contentredirect.asp.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
So I follow everything I've found here and noted that the free busy folder isnt replicating and is missing and I cant do a properties from the Free+Busy folder. Easy enough, I follow the the MS knowledge base article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822444 and generate a new GUI. Drill down to the cn=first administrors group and do a properties and edit the SiteFolderGUID.
When I click apply I get a pop stating that the server is unwilling to process the request.
So where did I go wrong?

Your first link is was what I used, second wasnt approperate. Thanks for the attempt.
Please note it that I have determined that Free busy is missing and in attempting to recreate the public folders that I am getting a response for the the server saying that "server is unwilling to process the request"
So I can't recreate the system folders.

Problem is solved, there was an entry in the AD for a test exchange box that was done by a former Admin and not removed properly. THe only affect was that FreeBusy folder wasnt properly homed and that was required was that it be changed.
glad that you solved the problem
