Burning 6.4 GB ISO to 4.7 GB Disk

Hello -- me again ^_~

I have installed my new DVD Drive, finally! :-)

I made an ISO image of a DVD a few days ago. I no longer have this DVD. I would thus like to burn the ISO image, which is 6.4 GB, to my DVD-RW, which is 4.7 GB.

Obviously, we have a slight problem here:  ISO - DVD-RW capacity > 0

Is there a way to compress the ISO, so that it will burn to the disk..? But still work on DVD players?

Thanks! :)

AFIK the only way is to split the iso (your burning softwre has to support this)

also you can use the "dvd2one"
http://www.dvd2one.com

by the way dvd2one is not freeware.
if you want a freeware your best bet is dvdshrink
if you want commerical sotfware there are lots of them

i think you should first mount the ISO image then shrink.

also try this site: http://www.doom9.org/
it has everything you need about dvdr, from guides to download links

Hey all,
thank you very much for replies. I have successfully shrunk the ISO image to <4.7GB. Which is GREAT ^_^
However, I'm having trouble with my new DVD-RW Drive -- I shall accept the answer here now, but if any of you could keep an eye out for my new question, which I shall probably end up making either later tonight, or sometime tomorrow (and I shall post a link to it here, once made), then I would much appreciate that!!

Thank you very much,

Hey Sheharyaar,  ^_^

I'm just about to award the points to you. I have one idea as to how to get this Drive to work, before I resort to asking you lot...

Thanks - cya, :-)
