Word 2003 with Outlook 2002
If I'm using Outlook 2002, can I use Word 2003 as my email text editor?

Yes. why not! IN outlook, go to Tools->Options->Mail Format and check Use Word as my email editor.

No! Sorry, but you must have Word 2003 to use it in Outlook 2003.

Sorry. read it backwards.
But I still believe that the versions must match.
This is the best money I have ever spent. I cannot not tell you how many times these folks have saved my bacon. I learn so much from the contributors.

Can't do that because "Use Word as my email editor" is greyed out.

When you go to Tools->Options->Mail Format, what is the mail format you have selected?

It doesn't seem to matter which mail format I select. I still can't select Word as my email editor. I'd like to choose "text"

Try repairing Outlook by going to Help->Detect and Repair. See if this helps!
