Win 2003 Member Server in a Win 2000 Environment??

I am running a Windows 2000 Domain (AD is running in Mixed Mode, due to a older NT 4 server that has recently died.) A new db app is being developed for us which is being built and tested on a WIN2K3 Server.

What I need to know is can I add a Win2K3 member server to a win2K AD (AD will be changed to Native Mode, with in the next two weeks.)  Is this a problem? or is it OK as long as the 2003 box is not a DC?

Thanks,
C

So it is possible to upgrade/add member servers running w2003 without issue. Is there anything I need to take into consideration before adding the server?

I am familiar with 2003 as far as installing as a standalone DC in a small test environment, but not in production.

Thanks for the help.

You can whatever OS you want in the domain. Native and Mixed modes only refer to domain controllers.

Right, I wasn't sure if mixed mode or native mode would make a difference with introducing a 2003 server into the fray.

It is a faily easy question, if you know the answer, they are all easy when you know the answer....
