Windows 2000 install error : setup cannot find the end user licensing agreement (eula)
This is from a self made boot CD

fat/fat32/ntfs
all sizes of partition and all file systems get this error.
this is on a dell laptop with no floppy otherwise i would use disks
any ideas

If the install reports a missing EULA its gone.. ie: NOT on the CD... So you did something wrong, and will have to make a new CD.

Are your formatting the partition within the Windows 2000 setup, or are you doing it before hand? If you are doing it before hand I would suggest booting through the CD and performing the partitioning within the Windows 2000 setup.
You have to create this CD with the help of your own authorized Windows 2000 CD. If you aren't using a full Official Windows 2000 CD you will get the above error.

copied the i386 dir and ran winnt . worked but id rather get the cd working for future.
I have used the cd before and has worked. unsure why it is giving me problems this time

You should try taking an original Windows 2000 CD and slipstreaming service pack 4 into it, and then burn it back to CD. Here is how to do it:
