Need Info about Device driver programming with c/c++

Hello Experts,

  I have been always curious about system programming like device driver writting , antivirus developement , and the stuff like that. Event though i am a desktop application developer i want to know the things about these stuff.
 Rather i want to learn this stuff.
I am not guru of C & C++ but i am OK with that.
  So i need some helpful links, books, examples which can explain me the stuff & i can understand and develope some things.
Can you help me out ?

Download the DDK from Microsoft.  It has a few example driver projects.  Unfortunately now the DDK is restricted to thos of us luckily enough to have a subscription service or those who want to buy it.
