Attachment Renames when its has already been opened

When viewing file attachments in Notes 6.5, file attachments with the same name are renamed when opened.  I know this is from the file staying in the temp folder and Notes just renaming it because there already is a copy.  Is there a way to change this setting, so that it overwrites what is in the temp folder?

Here is an example.  I get the file monday.xls emailed to me.  When I open it the first time, it opens as monday.xls.  When I open it the second time from notes, I get ~92093423.xls.  Can I force Notes to not rename my file?

Notes is designed not to overwrite files.  If Notes created the original file, it will be deleted when notes restarts.  But if you open the same file name twice in the same session, that's the way Notes does it -- it won't overwrite, as a safety feature.  You can't change it.
