Hello Experts,

i have a problem with the JSpinner component and JBuilder 2005. Whenever i try to add a JSpinner to my frame JBuilder quits without any message. I also tried adding it via source code and then switch back to the Designer but JBuilder quits again. Can someone tell me whats wrong with my JBuilder or how to get the JSpinner working?

Looks like a common problem:

I hate to say that it could be a bug with the IDE - I guess these folks did not find any work-arounds. Did you try with any other version of JBuilder?

If its possible for you to live by adding the JSpinner as the last thing to your Frame (manually through code) and then don't switch back to the designer mode, then live with it :)

Or try re-installing JBuilder and see if it helps.

Also - does it give this problem only on specific instances? I mean - only while adding a JSpinner to a JPanel, for example? Try creating a simple new frame and add the JSpinner to it directly and see if it works.

I tried it on a new frame without anything added so far but the result remains the same, JBuilder quits...
I dont think reinstalling helps but will try on another pc if its working there and let you know.

Is there a free evaluation version of JBuilder 2005 that can be downloaded? If you downloaded it from somewhere, please send the link to me so that I can install it and check.

I just installed JBuilder on my home pc and there i can use JSpinners without problems, so it seems there must be something wrong with my notebook installation. I'll just reinstall it and see if i can get it running. Thanks for your help so far mayankeagle(i'll take your reinstall hint as solution ;) )!
