WinFax Mail Transport

Using outlook 2002 allows an email address to be a fax number from the address book and sends out the fax via the windows fax mail transport.  This works fine except.....

I would like my email with fax address to go out via winfax 10.03.  Is there a way to get outlook to recognise a winfax mail transport?

In outlook settings, there is a place to identify the fax service but only the windows fax mail transport is available not the winfax service.

I've heard of a lot of problems getting WinFax Pro 10.03 to integrate with Outlook, and even more problems getting Symantec to provide any satisfactory solution.  Hell, they don't even list it as a version of the product on their own website, which only goes up to 10.02.

Have you tried removing WinFax and reinstalling it?

Not trying to be a naysayer, but make sure you really, really, really need something available in WinFax but not windows fax transport before proceeding down this path.  I've seen a lot of folks who actually break Outlook too, trying to get WinFax running, and having them uninstall WinFax is the only way to resolve the problem.  At that point they get referred to Symantec but I haven't heard of any success stories from those that do go that route.

Traval,  I did try re-install and so fear that it is not a supported function.  Winfax works fine other than the mail transport issue.  Maybe you are right that I can get by with the windows fax transort  but it would be nice to see if it can work like it should. Then all fax logs will be in one place.   I'll wait a bit and see if other ideas arise.  Thank you for your input to this point.
