Which software license will I need to be able to get VPN connections from the 506E's to a Cisco 515 PIX? We are using DES 56 bit encryption (not 3DES).

We are in the process of adding T1 lines to some older DSL locations. The ISP is going to give us the internet from their CSU/DSU in the form of Ethernet. They tell me we could use a Cisco 506E PIX firewall, because it has 2 Ethernet interfaces. Assuming this is correct, which software license will I need to be able to get VPN connections from the 506E's to a Cisco 515 PIX? We are using DES 56 bit encryption (not 3DES).

DES will work, but i recommend upgrading to 3DES. Cisco offers a free upgrade to 3DES, check this link

http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/Support/browse/psp_view.pl?p=Hardware:PIX&s=Software_Configuration

and then click on the link "Register for Purchased Feature Upgrade including 168-bit 3DES License Key"
