How do I implement SSL on tomcat

I installed jdk1.5.0_01
I installed Tomcat 5.5 pointing to jdk1.5.0_01 jvm.

I changed the connector (uncommented) for 8443.
I get the standard hellowordlexample on 8080...good.
I get page error on  https:...8443....error
