Upgrading from Windows 2000 Terminal services to windows 2003 STD

I have a poweredge 2650, 2X3.2 gig, 6 gig ram, 3 harddrives with 5 partions. 1 OS, 1 APPS, 1 Page File, 1 Data, 1 Images Drive.  I did the check before and everything was fine.  I started upgrade and everything was looking fine.  Now after 1 hour it is still sitting at 39min to finish the install.  The screens are moving telling you new features of 2003 but its just sitting there.  Oh and the hard drive light on the main drive is blinking sometimes but most of the time solid.  Is the upgrade doing something like upgrading the hardrive?? Or maybe upgrading files??  Help I just don't want to sit if its not going to go any further!!  Thanks
