Check for a setting in the BIOS that sets the boot sequence - you probably don't have it set to the hard disk and it is defaulting to the network card.

I have instaled a new board MSI kt4a-v and a amd 2600 processor. When i switch the machine on it goes to client mac addres:00:1109:92:c9 and seems to be searching for something. It does this for about a minute then reboots itself an does the same. The board came as a kit and has the right ram etc.

New board insalled will not boot
