How do I refresh a password protected site/page withouot getting logged off?
I've tried 3 versions of the auto refresh software to no avail! I need to auto refresh a specific page that is on a password protected site. The auto refresh software I've tried so far logs me off the site every time it refreshes the screen. The same thing - getting logged off - happens when I click on the refresh icon in the tool bar. The only way I get to refresh the screen is by right-clicking on the page and then clicking on 'Refresh' in the menu or typing 'R' followed by enter.
Is there some software that will enable me to accomplish the aforementioned? Help!

If you are still having problems,
Make sure your cookies are turned ON
Make sure Javascript is on, (some sites use javascript to set the cookies to the "you are logged in status" )
Some sites unfortunately require you to login again and again (A real pain) even though the LOGIN cookie is set correctly (ostensibly as a "security measure"). That means you are treated as logged out even though they know you are logged in. There is absolutely nothing you can do from your end, except login again and accept a new LOGIN cookie. This is because this timeout is controlled from the server end.
You may be able to modify the automatic login timeout by altering your site preference. If the site is really smart, they will even give you an option of setting this value to something like 24 hours or end of your working day.
if not there is nothing you can do except mail the admin of the site and ask him !
