I wanted to run a server behind a Linksys WRT54GS Router. So far I have been unsucessful. Is there any way to setup the server behind it and to test wheter it is public or not?

DO you have an auto updater that updates you dynamic IP address?
Also, this may seem silly, but make sure your port forwarding is enabled. I had that problem when I first set mine up (I had created the forwarding rule, but forgot to enable it).

thank you for your suggestion. the Shields Up is saying that my http port : 80 is in Stealth mode. Even when my router is not blocking this port, and I turn off the firewall, the test still shows that its in stealth mode. Is there any way to remove Stealth mode?

Did youset a static ip for the server, and then forward the port (80) to that IP (as shown in the www.portforward.com link)
If shown as stealth, then something is definately blocking
If shown as closed, the port is forwarded correctly, but the app isn't listening
If shown as open, then it is set correctly and the app is listening
