Word / Excel Crashes on Exit (Screenshot included)

Hi,

I have a customer who is using Microsoft Office.  Everytime they open a document in Excel and try to close it (even if they make no changes), a dialog comes up saying "Microsoft Excel has encountered a problem and needs to close".

I have examined the event log and found this:

Hopefully this will shed some light as I am baffled.

Incidentally, though this should not affect it, the customer is using Citrix over Terminal Services to run a desktop session

A screenshot of the error happening is available here:  http://www.demonit.co.uk/EE/Screenshots/20040304_ExcelCrash.gif

Many thanks,

James.

I have now found the problem.

As Jeroen mentioned, it was a problem with the sgxladdin.dll.

I have spoken to the software vendor (www.Sage.com) and they have confirmed it to be a known bug in their Line 50 v11 software.

If anyone else has this problem and they use Sage's Excel integration, there is an update (v11.01) available from the registered users area of their website.

Thanks to all who read this and especially to Jeroen.

James.
Thanks James for this additional info. It could be of use to anyone else.
Also thanks for the grade.
regards,
Jeroen
