Sharing problem after copying

I just installed a new webserver (Windows 2000). It's a simple webserver running Jakarta Tomcat. I copied the websites (webapps folder) from the old server to the new one, and made a share of that new copied folder. When I try to access this webapps folder from my laptop, I get "access denied". The webserver can use shared folders on other computers, but the other way around doesn't seem to work. If I create a new folder, and share that, it works normally.

I used a standard share, didn't change anything. Everyone has rights to do anything. I've installed several other webservers, and never had this problem. How can I set the proper rights?

Thanks for the tip. I found a solution myself. On the machine itself, I copied the complete webapps directory to a new folder. That copy then had the rights it needed. Once I did that, I could access all folders like I was used to. Now everything works normally. What caused this problem is still a mystery to me, and to be honest I'm not going to dive into it too deeply now it works. You get the points btw!
Thank! glad you solved it
