Welcome experts and thank you for taking the time to read up on my question.

I've been looking online to purchase InstallShield Premier 10.5, but found a fairly good deal to purchase InstallShield 10.  I was wondering if there is a free update from InstallShield 10 to 10.5.  I am also wondering how this update is aquired; standalone download, InstallShield update service, etc.  I am just looking for some solid information that justifies whether I can do this or not.  Thank you for taking the time to read up on my question, and good luck!

I must admit that is some discomforting news.  I am not questioning your sources, however, I am interested how you came upon this knowledge.  Any help will be greatly appreciated, and points will be awarded where needed ;-)
Thank you

Hi again,

Sorry I didn't reply earlier, I had to run an errand, and will have to be running another one in a few minutes.  Thanks for all your input on this situation,
I think I am going to try the 10 version, and see what happens.  Worst case scenario is that I will have to contact customer support or something related.  I have
to go but will be awarding points soon.  Thanks for your help

The author seems to be somewhat satisfied with the answer...the points should be awarded to the most appropriate answer.

~Morning

My apologies for not rewarding the points earlier, it's been a hectic month.
Thanks for great answer, and it did in fact turn out that you had to buy 10.5 instead of a free upgrade.
Thanks again!
