If you have a dedicated T1 to another site, as well as a T1 to your internet provider.......do you have to have 2 separate interfaces on your router?

Hi dissolved,
Usually but not always, it depends on the connection to your carrier. They may have combined the two circuits onto one interface (frame relay for example with multiple PVC's) or you could have two completely physically separate interfaces terminating each circuit.

so if your running just ppp encapsulation (dedicated T1), then you have to have a separate interface on your router for every site you connect to

on the other hand, if you are running frame rely, you can have multiple VCs per one interface ( a more cost effective solution)
