Open Excel in Broswer (IE)

Does anyone know why there is a dialog box to ask me to "open, save, cancel" when opening a excel file which generated from an aspx page? Why when open a pdf file, the IE will not show this dialog box but open it in the brower?

I want the the excel to be openned in the IE broswer automatically without showing the dialog box. I have MS excel installed and I have checked "Browse in same window" in Windows Explore -> Folder Options -> File Types -> XLS.

What else I have to do?

//try tgis
   1. Go to Start, Settings, Control Panel
   2. Open Folder Options
   3. Click on the File Types tab
   4. Click on the XLS file type
   5. Click the Advanced button
   6. Uncheck the "Confirm open after download" checkbox to have the file open in the broswer without being prompted
   7. Click OK
