Switch or Router for 12+ Ports in a Home

Recently refurbished my new home and in the process added multiple Cat5e lines to each room of the house. Therefore I am looking for a switch or router that I would be to accommodate at least 20 ports and be fairly configurable.

Any recommendations that are both reliable and not too expensive.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
