Online Calendar

We are running a website that requires to have an online calendar application where we can enter the upcoming events and it can viewed by our clients. We do not want to reinvent the wheel and looking for a package or a project that might have implemented this.
Basic funtionality would require
 - Adding new events based on date and viewing the various months forward
 - similar to MS outlook Calendar preferable

Does it have to be in Java as the only one I know of is in Perl.

Java is preferable but I  can also chk out perl .

There is a very nice calendar on http://www.calendarix.com. Unfortunately is in PHP. But every webserver on linux has default instalation of php.
